4th International Conference on Spectroscopic Ellipsometry

June 11-15, 2007, Stockholm, Sweden

ICSE-4

The 4th ICSE addresses new advances and developments in science, technology and applications of Spectroscopic Ellipsometry as well as related polarization techniques. Scientist and engineers from multidisciplinary research and application areas are asked to join this conference held ashore the vibrant and remarkable northern Capital, ranked among the world top most attractive cities.

Vivid knowledge exchange, emerging areas and future research inspiration ensure the Stockholm conference to meet the high scientific standards set by the previous ICSE conferences placed in Paris (1993), Charleston (1997) and Vienna (2003).

Participants will gather at the conference reception in the magnificent Golden Hall of famous Stockholm's Nobel prize festivals City Hall. A conference dinner with guided tour at the Vasa museum will endeavor Swedish tradition and pride. Paul Drude Award winner

The ICSE4 Paul Drude Award is awarded to Peter Petrik, PhD, Senior researcher at the Research Institute for Technical Physics and Materials Science at the Hungarian Academy of Science, Budapest, for his unique contributions with strong focus on ion-implanted single-crystal semiconductor materials and the damage that these materials sustain through the implantation process. The Paul Drude Award is given to a young scientist for exceptional contributions to the development and application of spectroscopic ellipsometry. Reflecting Drude’s oeuvre related to the electron-conductivity model, emphasis is also placed on spectroscopically determining and understanding the interaction of light with matter. The Award will be handed over during the ICSE4 Paul Drude award ceremony session on Friday morning June 15, 8:30-10:05. The ICSE4 Paul Drude Award is sponsored by the J. A. Woollam Co., Inc., and includes a monetary prize of €1000.
